Cristiano Ronaldo missed the goal for the first time in Spanish La Liga: Cristiano Ronaldo missed a penalty against Real Sociedad only to convert the subsequent penalty in the same game. He has missed 5 times before, however this is the first time he failed to make the shot on target.
Sunshine for both Manchester Clubs: Manchester City’s poor away record in the recent weeks which saw them without a win for 5 games has come to an end with a 1-2 win against Watford. Manchester United’s poor run of 8 games without a win also came to an end with strikes from Anthony Martial and Wayne Rooney in a 2-1 win against struggling Swansea. With this strike Wayne Rooney also became the sole second top scorer of Premier League overtaking ex-Manchester United striker Andy Cole.
